Sash Windows in Devon with Preserved Architrave
We are currently working on a project of sliding sash windows for a customer who had not been happy with previous companies work and selected Taylors Joinery instead.
The customer wanted windows that were aesthetically similar to what was already there, while still upgrading to having double glazing, draft exclusion and the correct eco rating.
Our customer contacted us following someone in the area having had windows fitted by us and they were so impressed with the high quality of work, they contacted us.
The windows will be handmade in a traditional way, which is an extremely thorough process that we take great pride in to ensure that all of our projects are completed to the highest possible standard and they are spray finished to maintain a high level factory finish.
We are very happy to add or adapt to any specific requirements that our customers want and with this current project, we had to take an architrave moulding to make the new window and the customer didn’t want the existing window to be left looking messy. So we arranged to take the cutting behind a curtain and managed to keep the area neat and tidy.
We take great pride in meeting the needs of our customers, so if you have any requirements or needs during the project we are more than happy to help you.
The windows themselves are made from FSC certified, sustainable sourced hardwood and will include brass fittings so that they match the existing household style. We have a range of fittings that can be included depending on the customer’s requirements.
An architrave from the old window has been re-created for the new window
With our projects, we have one dedicated joiner who will take charge of the whole manufacturing process (unless the project is too big) so that our finished products have a personal and consistent finish.
All the staff are multi skilled here at Taylors Joinery, so having one person do the whole process of measuring, designing, manufacturing and fitting the projects are cared for and built in the best possible way.
Usually projects take around 2-3 weeks to complete, but it can be longer if we feel that the product needs to be worked on more because we don’t fit anything that has not been completed to our very high standards.
